ElderDog Dog Care Support (DCS) Volunteers Needed!

North & West Vancouver [map]
2-4 hours / weekly
Ongoing, depending on the task
Do you love spending time with dogs and are interested in supporting seniors on the North Shore? You can do both by becoming a Dog Care Support (DCS) volunteer with the ElderDog North & West Vancouver PAWD.

We are always seeking volunteers who can commit 30 min or more each week to help a senior provide care for their dog. The DCS program assists with keeping dogs active by walking them, transporting dogs to and from veterinary or grooming appointments, or by providing basic dog care, such as minor grooming/brushing or nail clipping.

Volunteers must be at least 18 years old and submit a recent vulnerable sector police check when requested.
Additional Details & Skills Required
On-line volunteer orientation provided as well as ongoing mentoring.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Spend time with some of our great dogs and help relieve the stress for seniors who are worried about no longer being able to provide their much-loved dog with the care they need and deserve.
