Purpose of the Job:
The Blog Writer will play an essential role in supporting Inspired 2 Uplift's mission by creating engaging, informative, and thought-provoking written content. This role will help raise awareness of disability issues and promote the organization's initiatives, events, and advocacy efforts. The Blog Writer will focus on crafting blog posts that amplify our impact and share success stories, insights, and resources through our website and other platforms.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Research, write, and edit blog posts on topics related to disability advocacy, community initiatives, and social impact.
Collaborate with team members to brainstorm content ideas that align with Inspired 2 Uplift's mission, values, and upcoming events.
Ensure all blog content is well-researched, fact-checked, and reflects the organization's messaging and branding.
Assist in managing the editorial calendar to ensure timely publication of blog posts.
Optimize content for SEO (Search Engine Optimization) to improve visibility and engagement.
Promote blog content through social media channels and other outlets to reach a broader audience and drive engagement.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Enrollment in or completion of high school or a university program.
Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Understanding of content creation best practices, including tone, voice, and audience targeting.
Experience in writing for blogs or websites, with a portfolio of published content preferred.
Familiarity with SEO principles and strategies.
Excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
Passion for social change and a commitment to the values of Inspired 2 Uplift.
