The Central Alberta Women's Emergency Shelter protects, supports, and empowers women and children to live free from domestic violence. Through emergency shelter, transitional and affordable housing, safety planning, risk assessments, outreach services, court accompaniment, childcare support, community referrals, and a 24/7 call and text crisis line, the organization provides compassionate, life-changing support to individuals and families in crisis. Our shelter is based out of Red Deer, but serves a catchment area of over 500,000.
