Volunteer Librarian

Extendicare Michener Hill is looking for a friendly and organized volunteer to support our resident library. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys books, connecting with seniors, and helping others discover reading materials that match their interests.

Tasks may include:
-Organizing and maintaining the library collection to ensure books and materials are easy to find and accessible.
-Sort, shelve, and arrange books in a neat and welcoming manner.
-Assist residents who visit the library by helping them locate books and materials.
-Make book recommendations based on residents' interests, favorite genres, and reading preferences.
-Engage residents in friendly conversations about books and reading.
-Help residents select materials to borrow and ensure items are returned to the appropriate location.
-Support a welcoming library environment that encourages reading, learning, and enjoyment.
