Friendly Visitor

This is a position for those who enjoy socializing while helping to brighten someone’s day. Residents grow to look forward to these one-on-one visits. While visiting you may take them for a walk around the building, to the Bistro or their dining room for a coffee, play a game of cards with them and enjoy sharing stories and experiences. 

Frequency: Once per week is preferred

Time Requirements: Schedule will be determined during the interview. This is a position that requires a commitment of 1-3 hours per week. This can be adjusted to be more or less dependent on the volunteer as the position is flexible. However, it is advisable that you choose a time that works for you and fulfils your commitment as the residents will come to look forward to your visit. 

Location: Depending on the needs of residents, you may visit their room, within their household in the dining room. If you let the household staff know, you will be able to go down to the Bistro or enjoy our beautiful outdoor spaces.
