Central Alberta Theatre

Central Alberta Theatre offers Central Albertans the opportunity to experience the Arts by encouraging creativity, nurturing new relationships, providing learning opportunities and stimulating experiences, and fostering appreciation and involvement. We are a non-profit society in Alberta that was formed in 1970 to be a community theatre organization. CAT was warmly received by the citizens of Red Deer and district. Today we operate from the Memorial Centre where we host live performances such as concerts, dance recitals, and other public events. Currently we host our annual dinner theatres through Festival Hall which is located within the east side of the building. Due to the ongoing Covid -19 pandemic, we are participating in the Restrictions Exemption Program where persons 12 or older must show proof of vaccination, a negative test within the past 72 hours or a medical exemption in order to enter our building. We want to promote, a healthy, safe environment that is also diverse, inclusive, and welcoming.
