Habitat for Humanity Red Deer

Habitat for Humanity Red Deer Region Society is part of an international non-profit organization, Habitat for Humanity. Habitat Red Deer is dedicated to helping Central Alberta families build better lives through affordable homeownership. We build homes in partnership with qualifying low-income, working families through a no-down-payment, interest-free mortgage program.

Habitat Red Deer homeowners purchase their homes with a no down-payment, no-interest mortgage, with payments of 25% of their monthly income, giving them financial stability to build better futures. Their monthly mortgage payments are used to build more homes in Cental Alberta for future Affordable Homeownership Program Families that we partner with.

We have a social enterprise store, the Habitat Red Deer ReStore, where we sell new and gently pre-owned building materials, appliances, furniture and home goods. Revenue generated by the ReStore goes right back into Habitat Red Deer, helping to fund Habitat for Humanity Red Deer operations and help build more homes in the community for those in need of a safe place to call home.

Habitat for Humanity Red Deer was established in 1994 and serves the Central Alberta region. We are currently building our 47, 48, 49 and 50th homes!
