*Roles and Responsibilities
-Transform existing educational content into structured, high-quality professional learning modules tailored for trainers of gifted and high-potential learners
-Repurpose and align existing resources—such as differentiated math tasks, interdisciplinary STEAM projects, inquiry-based science modules, and creative problem-solving activities—into coherent, scalable training packages
-Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure content accuracy, innovation, and relevance
-Design curriculum frameworks and instructional materials that align with the best international practices and local educational needs
-Utilize technology-enhanced learning tools and digital platforms to optimize content delivery and trainer engagement
-Provide training and support to facilitators and trainers to ensure consistent implementation and delivery of developed programs
-Integrate principles of gender equality and social inclusion (GESI) throughout all content and pedagogical approaches to ensure equitable access and engagement for all learners and educators
-Adopt and promote environmentally sustainable practices in all operations, prioritizing digital distribution, reducing resource waste, and incorporating principles of environmental sustainability into relevant curriculum content.
-Participate in pre-assignment training
-Participate in at least 3 public engagement initiatives with Canadian audiences before, during, or within 6 months after the end of the assignment. Volunteers will be equipped with the tools, training, funds, and support to achieve these goals. Volunteers must also report on each of their public engagement activities through our Volunteer Information Portal. Virtual chats and individual check-ins can be booked with the Senior Public Engagement Officer throughout the course of their assignment and during the 6 months following its completion to seek guidance and support with their public engagement activities.
-Canadian volunteers are required to do at least one activity that contributes to meeting a fundraising target of $1,500. The minimum requirement is met by each volunteer using our Volunteer Information Portal to report having sent one message to their network about their volunteer assignment that includes the link to the WUSC Shared Impact Fund webpage. This message also counts as one of their three required public engagement activities. Volunteers will be supported with the tools, training, and resources to achieve the fundraising goal.
-Submit reports as required by the partner organization and by WUSC.

*Experience and Qualifications
-Bachelor’s degree in Education; Instruction, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred)
-A minimum of five years of relevant experience in curriculum design or educational program development is required, with a preferred focus on gifted education and high-ability learners
-Proven knowledge and application of global curriculum models such as:
-Universal Design for Learning (UDL)
-Differentiated Instruction
-Inquiry-Based Learning
-Project-Based Learning
-Excellent research, writing, and instructional design skills
-Proficiency in digital tools for education (e.g., LMS platforms, interactive content creation software)
-Evidence-based frameworks for teacher training
-Flexibility, adaptability, excellent interpersonal skills and cultural sensitivity
-Experience with group facilitation and trainings, including content development considered an asset
-Experience living and working internationally considered an asset
-Written and oral fluency in English.
Certification or Education Required
