At the YMCA we believe everyone has the potential to thrive and shine. As one of Canada’s oldest charities, together we have an important job to do to remove obstacles and provide support, positivity and guidance to people across our community. Everyone is worthy of our investment, and when individuals shine, the collective strength of our entire community can be realized.

Our Campaign
- Fill the Court: Supporting the YMCA of Oakville means giving children and youth the chance to participate in skill-based sports programs. Our goal is to ensure that each one has access to YMCA programs that promote safe spaces, leadership development, health, and social responsibility. Sports, such as basketball and soccer, play a vital role in shaping young lives by promoting physical fitness, teamwork, and resilience.

- Fill the Pool: Learning to swim at the YMCA means more than learning the front crawl. Swimming is a life skill, and YMCA swimming lessons create a values-based environment where children learn at their own pace.
As they learn, children are encouraged to provide leadership and support to others in their class. With this program you are helping them be safe in and around the water.

- Fill the Chair: This program is about more than teaching youth how to rescue or guard a pool; it is about equipping them with a skill set that can open doors to meaningful employment and transformation through purpose, responsibility, and a stable means of income.

- Fill the Bus: Each summer, we support a minimum of 36 children by providing individual teaching supports so they can attend 3 weeks of YMCA Summer Day Camp. The cost of YMCA staffing to deliver this individualized support is $85,000 this summer. The YMCA needs financial support to provide these critical services. By donating to Fill the Bus, you can ensure
32 children with unique learning needs will have 1:1 support, learn new skills,
and make new friends.

- Newcomer Welcome to Wellness Program: is helping Newcomer Families in Oakville and Halton to find health, well-being and a sense of community at our local YMCA. This program provides a 6 months, free general family membership to the Y, which including access to all programs and services to help you connect to your personal health and well-being and others in your community.
