Peer Support Volunteer / Receptionist - Women's Centre of Halton

To provide a safe, non-judgmental community where women can access support and learn about resources.

-To help provide a safe, caring, supportive environment for all women
-Provide peer support for clients in person or on the telephone
-To be empathetic and non-judgmental, 
-Help women explore options available to them.
-Answering phones and answering general questions about the centre 


Peer Support Shifts are in person in Oakville, Monday - Friday   
Shifts are: 10 am-12:30 pm, 12:30 to 3 pm, 3-5:30 pm, 5:30-8 pm 
Reliability is a must.
A minimum of 2 shifts per month and a one-year commitment is required.
Additional Details & Skills Required
Training is done remotely at your convenience
Shift sign-up happens in the middle of the months before ( ie. March 15th ish for April Shifts) 
There is only one volunteer on at a time so reliability and dependability are a must.
Certification or Education Required
Clean Criminal Record check
