Are you passionate about making a difference and helping a dedicated team drive meaningful change? We’re looking for an enthusiastic, community-minded individual to serve as Vice President on our Board of Directors. This is a rewarding volunteer leadership role ideal for someone who wants to deepen their involvement, grow leadership skills, and help guide the future of our club. ________________________________________ About the Role: As Vice President, you’ll play a key leadership role in supporting the President and helping our board operate effectively. You’ll chair the Grants Committee, help oversee our strategic direction, and contribute to the smooth operation of the club. In the absence of the President, you’ll step in to ensure leadership continuity. Reports to: Membership through the Board of Directors Term Length: Commitment is a total of 3 years with one year in each of: Vice President (2025/26), President (2026/27) and Past President / Chair of Governance (2027/28) Time Commitment: Flexible, with some peak periods during events and planning cycles ________________________________________ What You’ll Do: • Lead the Grants Committee, helping distribute funding that fuels important community work. Prepare agendas and minutes to keep meetings productive and efficient. • Attend and collaborate with dedicated members on the Governance, Finance, and Membership Committees • Step in as Acting President when needed • Share updates and insights in board meetings, newsletters, and annual reports • As a member on the Governance Committee, support succession planning to ensure continued strength in our leadership • Work with the Treasurer and President to prepare and manage the annual budget ________________________________________ What You’ll Gain: • A chance to amplify your leadership and governance skills • Opportunities to build strong relationships with like-minded changemakers • The satisfaction of directly impacting your community • Experience in committee leadership and nonprofit board operations ________________________________________ What We’re Looking For: • A team player who believes in collaboration and community service • Strong communication and organizational skills • Good computer skills (email, document sharing, etc.).
