Youth Program Support (Creative Horizons)

Seeking 2 volunteers to support our Creative Horizons Youth Program and help create a welcoming, inclusive, and creative environment where youth can explore art, express themselves, and build meaningful connections.

Available Shift:
Mondays | 3:15 PM – 5:45 PM

Responsibilities:
Welcome youth and help create a positive, supportive environment.
Assist with setting up art supplies, workstations, and activity materials.
Support program staff with art activities and basic project demonstrations.
Encourage creativity, self-expression, and participation.
Provide one-on-one support to youth when needed.
Foster positive interactions and respectful behaviour among participants.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace throughout the session.
Assist with cleaning, organizing, and storing materials after the program.
Notify staff when art supplies need to be replenished.
Report any safety concerns or incidents to program staff.
Requirements:

Must be 18 years of age or older.
Enjoy working with youth in a positive, patient, and encouraging manner.
Interest in visual arts, crafts, or creative activities (professional art experience is not required).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Reliable, organized, and able to work collaboratively with staff and volunteers.
Willingness to learn and support youth of varying interests and skill levels.

Commitment:
September 14 – June 21 (Mondays, 3:15 PM – 5:45 PM).
