Kids Clubs Program Support Volunteer (18+)
Seeking individuals to encourage children to engage in activities and to provide support to program leads and program partners as needed. Available Shifts: Mondays or Fridays 3:45-5:45pm Responsibilities: Provide general assistance and supervision for children's program. Socialize & build relationships with children during program. Assist with set up and clean up. Encourage kids to engage in various activities. Act as a positive role model for children. Advise the Kids Club Coordinator of any issues that arise during programming. Ensure proper use of the program rooms (including youth lounge, music rooms, learning center & gym). Provide practical support in the delivery of programming (i.e. facilitating activities and implementing program). Requirements: Must be 18+. Ability to relate positively and enjoy spending time with children. Must be energetic, outgoing & creative. Excellent communication skills. Ability to lead others and provide direction in a respectful manner. Good time-management and multi-tasking skills. Excellent problem-solving ability. Vulnerable Sector Check (VSC) required Commitment: One shift per week until the end of June
Certification or Education Required
good to have First aid certification, prior experience of working with children/youth
