Bread Slicing Assistant

We are looking for a dependable volunteer to support our kitchen team by safely operating our bread slicing machine. This role involves slicing room-temperature, thawed loaves of sourdough, sesame, and multigrain bread (soft white bread is not included), packaging the sliced loaves, and ensuring the work area is left clean and tidy at the end of the shift.

Responsibilities:
Complete the required training for operating the bread slicing machine
Operate the machine safely and according to all guidelines
Slice approved bread varieties and transfer sliced pieces into bags
Seal bags using the bag sealer
Clean the machine after use (when powered off and unplugged), removing crumbs and debris
Sweep the floor around the machine at the end of the shift

Requirements:
Must be 18 years of age or older
Must be responsible and comfortable working with kitchen machinery
Must follow all safety instructions carefully and consistently
