Ian Anderson House
Ian Anderson House is a residential hospice in Oakville serving individuals and families in Mississauga and Halton. Since 1997, we have provided compassionate, 24-hour end-of-life care in a warm, home-like setting.
Our volunteers are an essential part of our hospice family. They help make the House feel like home by welcoming families and visitors, answering phones, helping in the kitchen, preparing refreshments, offering companionship, assisting with administrative tasks and supporting special events.
Most importantly, our volunteers bring kindness, warmth and a caring presence. A cup of tea, a conversation, a freshly baked treat or a welcoming smile can mean so much to a resident or family.
We welcome people with a variety of interests, skills and life experiences. If you have time to give and would like to be part of a compassionate team making a meaningful difference, we would love to hear from you.
