Dog Walkers in Burlington
Burlington, ON
[map]
No term commitment
We're looking for volunteers to walk dogs for seniors with mobility issues in the Burlington area. This is an ongoing commitment requiring as little as one hour/ week, but the choice is yours if you have additional time to contribute. We have some volunteers that do multiple walks/ week, maximizing their time with a variety of the dogs that we walk. Once you are set up as a volunteer, we'll send you an email when we have a dog requiring a walker. You can respond to the opportunities that you're interested in and we'll set you up on a weekly walking schedule that works for you. Most clients have a team of walkers that support each other and help fill in during absences. For more details, visit www.elderdog.ca/volunteer-roles or send an email to haltonldr@elderdog.ca.
Additional Details & Skills Required
To get started, visit www.elderdog.ca/volunteer-roles and fill out a 'Volunteer Application' form, or please contact haltonldr@elderdog.ca for more information. Please note: We're happy to have minors volunteer, but they must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Not only does this help seniors keep their furry companions in their homes longer, but you'll get some exercise and sunshine!
