New unit opening - 11th Kanata Spark (Ottawa/Kanata)

Girl Guides of Canada is looking for 2-3 adult volunteers to be part of a new Spark Unit in Kanata (Kanata/Ottawa ON) 

No previous experience with Girl Guides is necessary.

Successful applicants will be screened and begin onboarding immediately, then continue to work with local mentors throughout the next 6-12 months.

As part of a unit’s leadership team, you’ll facilitate fun and engaging program activities, like scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, outdoor exploration, games and more with our Sparks (5-6 years).

Volunteers will receive access to a digital program platform stocked with age-appropriate activities and meeting tools, as well as training on how to deliver activities in ways that will empower and encourage girls.

Units meet on a weekly basis, during the school year.  
Meetings can take place Mondays-Thursday in the evening, once a week.
Location - TBD

Volunteers commit to 3 hours per week for unit meetings plus additional hours, when required, for trips and events.  Part-time roles are available if weekly attendance doesn't suit your schedule.
