Volunteer Community Ambassador — Help Seniors Learn Pillfolio app

Firerix Digital Health is a Canadian digital health startup based in British Columbia. We’ve built Pillfolio, a free mobile app that helps people safely track medications, receive reminders, and better manage their health. Our volunteer role supports seniors who often face challenges such as complex medication schedules, forgetfulness, and limited digital literacy.Volunteers help seniors learn how to use Pillfolio, a free medication reminder and tracking app, with the goal of reducing missed doses, medication errors, and unnecessary health complications. The role is strictly non-clinical and non-commercial. Volunteers do not provide medical advice, promote sales, or replace healthcare professionals. Their involvement is limited to basic app setup assistance, education, and compassionate support—similar to community-based senior wellness and public health initiatives that promote aging safely and independently. Our intention in using Volunteer Success is to connect with volunteers who care about senior well-being, health equity, and digital inclusion. We provide clear training, privacy guidelines, and role boundaries to ensure the experience aligns with volunteer best practices and protects seniors. Your time and guidance can make a meaningful difference in their daily lives. What You’ll Do ------------------ -As a Volunteer Community Ambassador, you will: -Introduce seniors to the Pillfolio medication reminder app -Explain how the app works in simple, easy-to-understand language -Help seniors install and set up the app (in person or virtually) -Answer basic questions and direct seniors to support resources when needed -Share feedback with our team to help improve the app experience ⚠️ This role does not involve providing medical advice. Who We’re Looking For ------------------------------ -You don’t need a healthcare background. Ideal volunteers are: -Patient, friendly, and good listeners -Comfortable using smartphones or tablets -Interested in helping seniors and improving health outcomes -Reliable and respectful of privacy and confidentiality -Students, retirees, newcomers, and community members are all welcome.
