BC Pets and Friends

Pets and Friends shares the healing comfort and companionship of animals through volunteer pet therapy teams (handler/pet) with patients, students and residents in hospitals, colleges and seniors facilities throughout the lower mainland of BC. The pet therapy program provides participants with the opportunity to receive the unconditional love and acceptance of a therapy pet - from sparking conversations in seniors who are lonely to providing stress relief to students during exams to being a welcome distraction to pain for patients in the hospital.
