Elizabeth Fry Society of Greater Vancouver
EFry clients range in age from newborn to senior citizens. Most live in poverty. Some are homeless. Many are without support networks or the tools necessary to build a brighter future for themselves and their families. Virtually all are either at risk of becoming involved, involved or affected by the justice system.
EFry's programs and services help our clients address their challenges, build life skills and create positive options for the future. We believe that every life has value, that all people are entitled to respect, and that everyone has the right to belong.
Working throughout the Lower Mainland alongside those who share our values, we seek to continually improve our efforts and improve the lives of our clients. EFry provides gender-responsive support across the spectrum of justice system involvement - from at-risk through incarceration to the transition back to independent living. We have expanded our focus to include the children of our clients at every stage of this risk continuum.
Each year, EFry helps close to 10,000 clients through our two dozen programs. We believe every life has value, all people are entitled to dignity and respect, and everyone has the right to belong. For over 80 years, that has been our legacy and our promise.
