Casa de las Américas Heritage Society is organizing Fiesta de la Alegría, a free family and community celebration taking place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Fraser River Discovery Centre as part of New West Latin Fest and Latin American Heritage Month. We are seeking volunteers to help us create a welcoming, participatory experience for children, families and community members. We have identified two volunteer roles: Event & Community Welcome Volunteer and Family Activities & Cultural Games Volunteer. Volunteers do not need previous event experience. Orientation and role-specific instructions will be provided. We are particularly interested in volunteers who enjoy working with families, community events, arts, recreation and cultural activities. Spanish and other language skills are welcome but are not required
