Founding Board Member – Help Shape the Future of Crisis Care in BC
Ongoing
ANCHOR is a new Nanaimo-based non-profit with an ambitious vision: to help transform how people access support during times of overwhelm, distress, and crisis. We believe that no one should have to navigate life's challenges alone, and that stronger communities are built through connection, early intervention, and systems that work better for everyone. As a founding Board Member, you will have the unique opportunity to help shape the future direction of a growing organization from the ground up. This is more than a governance role—it's a chance to contribute your experience, ideas, and leadership to an initiative focused on community resilience, systems change, and improving access to care across British Columbia. We are looking for passionate individuals who believe in making a difference and want to help build something meaningful. Board members will provide strategic guidance, support organizational growth, help foster community partnerships, and champion ANCHOR's mission. Whether your background is in healthcare, education, business, finance, technology, communications, community development, or lived experience, your perspective can help strengthen our impact. If you are excited by innovation, collaboration, and the opportunity to create lasting positive change in your community, we would love to hear from you.
