Timber Festival is looking for friendly and dependable volunteers to help during our first festival, taking place August 21–23, 2026, in Mulhurst Bay, Alberta.

Volunteer opportunities include helping with activity booths, guest information, parking, registration, the first aid area, setup and cleanup, and general festival support. Shifts are flexible, and volunteers can help for a few hours, one day or throughout the weekend.

This is a great opportunity to support a growing Alberta non-profit event, meet new people and be part of a festival celebrating skilled trades, forestry, outdoor careers, wood carving and community.

No previous festival experience is required. Volunteers will receive instructions and support from the Timber Festival team. Some positions may have age or physical requirements depending on the duties.

We appreciate every person who gives their time to help make Timber Festival safe, welcoming and successful.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Volunteers will have the opportunity to be part of the first Timber Festival and help build a growing community event from the ground up.

Benefits include meeting tradespeople, performers, vendors and community members, gaining hands-on event experience, learning more about skilled trades and outdoor careers, and contributing to a Canadian non-profit organization.

Hours can be confirmed upon request, and volunteers may request a letter of appreciation or reference following the event
