AFS is a non-profit, non-governmental, and volunteer-based organization that provides intercultural learning opportunities to help high school exchange students develop the knowledge, skills, and understanding needed to create a more just and peaceful world.
At AFS Canada, our largest operational program is a high school exchange program. We send Canadian students abroad and host international students across Canada. Both in-person volunteering and virtual volunteering are available with AFS Canada. In-person volunteering takes place in Vancouver, Winnipeg, London, Toronto, Smiths Falls, Brockville, Ottawa, Cornwall, Montreal, and St. John's.
