MARS Wildlife Rescue

MARS Wildlife Rescue is northern Vancouver Island's wildlife rescue and rehabilitation centre. We rescue ill, injured, orphaned and oiled wildlife. Our ultimate goal is to release recovered animals back into the wild.
Our mission: To conserve and protect native wildlife and its natural habitat through education and rehabilitation.
We are a "not for profit", registered charity that opened in 1995. Our busy hospital is open every day of the year and cares for over 1000 patients annually. Hospital volunteers support our professional staff in caring for our patients and ambassador (educational) birds. Our visitor centre welcomes thousands of guests yearly, including school groups, families, and seniors. The centre is a wonderful place for all ages to learn more about wildlife and what MARS does in the community.
Volunteers are the heart of our organization and we could not survive without their dedication. Visit our website learn how you can get involved.
