Entrepreneur Peer Support Volunteer

Overview: As a Peer Volunteer, you will provide compassionate support and encouragement to individuals within our community who are navigating mental health challenges because of their experiences as an entrepreneur. Drawing from your own lived experiences, you will help foster a safe, inclusive, and understanding environment. Sing for Mental Health will provide all training. You will provide emotional support, share resources, complete post-call documentation, and attend quarterly check-ins with the S4MH team. Key Objectives of Peer Volunteers: Objective 1: Provide compassionate support and connection. Offer a safe, non-judgmental space for peers to share their experiences, providing emotional support and encouragement. Objective 2: Promote mental wellness resources. Educate and guide peers towards available mental health resources, self-care practices, and professional support when needed. Objective 3: Foster a sense of community. Encourage connection and belonging through conversations. Peer volunteers can help individuals to build social networks and participate in activities that promote well-being. Objective 4: Empower and facilitate self-advocacy. Peer volunteers help individuals identify their strengths and inner resources. They encourage self-advocacy and help individuals take an active role in their well-being.
Certification or Education Required
You must be an entrepreneur, solopreneur, precarious worker, or business owner.
