Spoken Culture

Spoken Culture is an Ontario-based arts platform dedicated to making poetry a part of everyday culture. Through live events, curated showcases, artist development initiatives, and community programming, we create spaces where powerful words and bold voices are seen and heard.

Our mission is to build accessible, meaningful platforms for poets and spoken word artists while strengthening creative communities across the province. We believe poetry is not niche — it belongs in public spaces, community halls, schools, and cultural venues.

Spoken Culture operates with the vision that the stage is ours — that creative expression should be inclusive, community-driven, and reflective of diverse stories and lived experiences.

As we expand, we are building a team of dedicated volunteers who want to contribute to arts programming, cultural development, and community-building across Ontario.
