Art Exhibition Installation Preparation
Do you have an eye for detail and want to learn more about the behind the scenes of installing an exhibition? Learn valuable skills as you work with our curator Wanda Lock and other volunteers to prep the gallery for new work! • Patching and sanding. • Priming and painting walls. • Light housekeeping/sweeping to prepare the space for opening. • BONUS: If you have experience with Audio/ Visual/ Tech Support Exhibition changeovers take place roughly 8 times per year, with most preparation work being completed on Sundays, Mondays, Tuesdays
Additional Details & Skills Required
You will be tasked with patching, painting walls and some light housekeeping. Meanwhile the hanging and handling of artwork will be handled by staff, however if you show an interest and aptitude for materials handling and safe care of artworks we have room to grow our team. Audio-Visual/ Tech support is also often required, so if this sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Certification or Education Required
painting experience. Constructions skills a bonus
