Languge for Life Society: ESL Services

Language for Life Society provides comprehensive, affordable English language instruction for all learners to reach their full potential regardless of immigration status. We advocate and empower our students to successfully integrate into their new community.

Our goal is to collaborate with local language services and other invested agencies to further meet the evolving needs of the culturally diverse population in our community.

We started Language for Life Society 2016 in direct response to the gap in English language services in our community. We are currently the only structured English language classes in Kelowna that are offered during the evening hours. We meet and assess each one of our students before they register in our programming so that we can fully understand their needs and goals, both short and long term.

Language for Life is proud to announce the launch of The SAIM Project, supported by the federal government's Community Services Recovery Fund, KCR Community Resources and United Way Canada. With The SAIM Project, we would like to have our volunteers help us fill the gap by meeting with a student to increase their speaking fluency skills as set out by the CELPIP Canadian language requirements.
