Youth Dungeons & Dragons Support Volunteer
A night of Wizards, Warriors, Rangers, and Fighters, join our Youth Dungeons & Dragons Night as a volunteer to help the adventures run smoothly at the Downtown Library. As a Youth Program Support Volunteer, you’ll welcome participants and parents, ensure the event runs smoothly, and contribute to our non-profit’s success with light program support throughout the evening. The night occurs on Wednesdays, and the volunteer would be expected to volunteer 1-2 times a month from 5-8 pm. Responsibilities: ❖Event Support ❖Greet youth and parents; manage attendance sign-in/out. ❖Monitor door and common spaces during play (safety + late arrivals). ❖Follow up on absences (note and share with coordinator; help draft parent reminders). ❖Assist with pack-up and clean-up after sessions. Program Support (during downtime) ❖Assist with communications (e.g., draft posts, messages, or updates). ❖Track attendance trends and note opportunities for program improvement. ❖Optional: support event planning and sponsorship research Commitment ❖3 hours per shift (includes set-up and clean-up). ❖Rotating schedule: 1 shift every 2–3 weeks, shared among a team. Qualities Needed ❖Friendly, approachable, and reliable. ❖Good with youth and parents. ❖Organized and proactive. ❖Interested in learning non-profit event planning and fundraising basics.
