Social Media Volunteer

Kelowna Inclusive is looking for volunteers to help create social media content for our events and programs within Kelowna. We aim to cultivate social equity throughout Kelowna by creating social programs and events that build inclusion and diversity. With our thriving Perspectives book club and Youth Dungeons & Dragons Night, there are many great moments to capture. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
❖ Create engaging social media posts and reels
❖ Connect with various youth organizations hosting youth events
❖ Engage with youth in a positive, friendly way to capture social media content
❖ Help maintain the social media page by responding to comments and engaging with other community organizations.

Requirements:
❖Be kind, empathetic, and friendly to people attending our events.
❖Be comfortable appearing on social media and in advertisements for youth events.
❖Attend at least one event per month when events are occurring and create a social media post based on that event.
❖Openness to learning new skills, including problem-solving, community engagement and conflict resolution.
❖Adaptability and flexibility.
❖Vulnerable Sector Check and Criminal Record Check.

Time Commitment:
❖ Once per month on a 3-month commitment to be renewed on agreement of the volunteer coordinator and the volunteer.
