Volunteer Art Class Assistant – Mixed Media | Tuesdays 10:00-11:30
Cool Arts Society is looking for a friendly, reliable, and compassionate volunteer to support our Mixed Media class for adults living with intellectual disabilities. This weekly class invites artists to explore a wide variety of creative techniques and materials, including painting, drawing, collage, print-based processes, textures, layering, and experimental mixed-media approaches. As a volunteer, you will assist the instructor and artists during the class, help prepare and organize materials, provide one-on-one or small-group support when needed, and encourage artists as they explore their ideas and develop their own creative style. The class is designed to be fun, hands-on, supportive, and inclusive, giving every artist the freedom to experiment, discover new techniques, and express themselves at their own pace. No previous artistic experience is required. What matters most is your patience, reliability, open-mindedness, and ability to connect with and encourage others. Commitment: 📅 Tuesdays – 10 weeks 🗓️ September 8 – November 10, 2026 🕙 10:00 AM – 11:30 AM 📍 Rotary Centre for the Arts, Kelowna
