WHO WE ARE | WHAT WE DO
We are focusing on the holistic development of vulnerable children, living in remote villages and slums of Uganda 🇺🇬, who would otherwise have no access to social services and would never hear the gospel of Jesus Christ.
"CWAY" in its name is an acronym for "Christ's Way" and signifying our
commitment to following Jesus Christ's teachings of compassion, service, and love to address the spiritual, physical, and social needs of the people
we serve.
At CWAY Africa, children are a core part of our mission. It’s our joy when the children are healthy, educated, nurtured, loved, protected and happy. Serving children in Uganda is all about making a lasting impact on the next generation of leaders. It's more than just watching over them, it's about creating a safe, fun, and nurturing environment where children can learn about faith, build lasting friendships , and grow in all wisdom.
As a compassionate response to address the increasing obstacles faced by the children, a nursery and primary school was set-up, with an aim of transforming their life through education, feeding, discipleship and medical care. Most of them come from broken families, some are orphans, abandoned and others from poor homes. We endeavour to meet their physical, social and spiritual needs, as part of our holistic approach to childcare and empowerment.
VOLUNTEERS | MISSION TRIPS
We know that International Mission Work is not for everyone. However, our schools and organisation are always in need of volunteers. Maybe they feel called to lead a medical team wishing to gain field experience and help beyond their neighbourhood! Maybe they are Teachers willing to help with their skills, more tools and ideas to reach our students in new ways. Come hold a workshop! Maybe they are builders or contractors with tools, techniques, and expertise that will enable us to build our new classrooms and toilets plus renovations faster! Maybe they just love kids and want to come to show our kids they are valuable! We welcome any and all visitors. We know that stepping outside of their comfort zone will change their life forever. Maybe they can help us achieve our mission in a personal way
No specific skills are required, just have passion and love for children, youth and be social. They must have yearned for a long time to help someone in greatest need. They do not have to be so qualified or experienced to join the project, whether they want to volunteer during your gap year, career break, or vacation they will have a role to play, and their efforts will make a lasting impact.
They can visit on a short or long mission trip and volunteer as individuals, student, family, couple or a group for a minimum of at least one month and more. Days and one (1) week to three (3) weeks can also be arranged in special cases.
