Co-Director of Marketing

About the Role As Co-Director of Marketing, you'll manage The Halifax Helpers' social media accounts, from planning and posting content to creating visuals and tracking engagement. You'll work closely with our team to expand our online presence and support our mission of educational equity while raising awareness about THH’s free tutoring services. This role is key in ensuring that THH’s programs reach a wider audience, especially those in underserved communities. Key Responsibilities Content Creation & Scheduling: Develop, create and schedule weekly posts on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and X, using Canva or other design tools to create engaging graphics. Design social media posts, flyers, newsletters, banners, and stories that promote THH’s services, volunteer opportunities, and events, ensuring that content aligns with THH’s mission. Engagement & Analysis: Track engagement metrics like shares, likes, and follower growth; analyze trends to improve our reach. Provide regular reports to the Executive Director on campaign performance and engagement. Team collaboration: Work closely with the Outreach and Events team to ensure alignment in messaging across all platforms. Coordinate with the Director of Outreach and Events to form campaigns and seasonal social media initiatives. Community Interaction: Respond to comments and direct messages in a timely and professional manner, promote events, share student success stories online, and encourage community engagement. Foster a positive, interactive online community through creative engagement strategies (polls, comments, shares). Requirements Experience with social media platforms, communications, and marketing strategies Strong organizational and time management skills Creativity and familiarity with content creation, Canva, or similar design tools Basic social media analytics knowledge to inform strategies
