Treasurer (Board Member)

• Oversee the financial affairs of the organization, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. • Develop and maintain financial policies and procedures, in line with best practices and organizational needs. • Manage the organization's financial resources, including budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. • Prepare and present financial reports to the board of directors, providing insight and recommendations for strategic decision-making. • Collaborate with other board members and staff to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization's goals. • Liaise with external stakeholders, including auditors, bankers, and government agencies, as necessary. • Stay informed about relevant financial trends, regulations, and developments affecting the non-profit sector.
Certification or Education Required
• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. CPA designation preferred.
