Colony Scouter
Position for adult volunteers to provide leadership, mentoring and planning of activities for Beavers, ages 5 to 7 years old. No previous experience as a youth or adult in the Scouting movement required. Scouting year runs from mid-September to mid-June. Meetings are weekly and last about two hours including setup and cleanup. Planning is done collectively by section scouters and involves about one hour per week. . Weekend activities occur about six times per year. This includes overnight camps. Initial training is done online and takes about 8 hours. Applicants are asked to complete the training within 90 days. All Volunteers aged 18+ are required to provide a clean PRC with Vulnerable Sector Search during their initial application. Volunteers are asked to provide character references at the beginning of their scouting journey as a component of our volunteer screening process.

Training is online with no cost to the applicant. Training must be completed within 90 days. Additional training is available as required.
