TAMH is a teen intervention aimed at helping teenagers to navigate mental health pertaining to three factors that we have determined to greatly influence their mental health. These are School, Family and Immediate environment which comprises of Beauty standards, FOMO and feeling lost as a teenager etc. Throughout all of this we shall be using our motto Hope with Substance which basically means us providing practical aid along with all of the advice, motivation and awareness we will be spreading. Speakers will be in charge of talking at and coordinating all events, talks that we will be holding as well as filming for our podcast on topics such as Academic validation, Fear of missing out and being lost as a teenager, Beauty standards etc. Essentially, they will be our center mouthpiece for the messages and experience that TAMH has in store. Being a driver and motivator for other teenagers to display their voices in their own special way regarding mental health and the topics we will be addressing; creating a sense of security and community with no stigma.
Why should you volunteer for this opportunity?
Development of public speaking and coordination skills as well enhancing their ability to be empathetic, think critically and use their voice (in any form) to inspire others and themselves as well.
