Sai Dham Food Bank is seeking motivated and compassionate High School Student Volunteers who would like to complete their required community service hours while contributing to a meaningful cause. This volunteer opportunity would consist of Hamper Preparation & Warehouse Support: Support the preparation and distribution of food hampers by sorting and inspecting donated items, maintaining organized inventory systems, and contributing to recycling and waste diversion efforts to ensure efficient, safe, and dignified operations. Client Support & Intake: Act as a compassionate and informed point of contact for clients, conducting intake assessments and assisting individuals and families in accessing food programs within our facility. Communication & Outreach: Manage client interactions across multiple channels including phone, email, and in-person responding to inquiries with professionalism, empathy, and a trauma-informed approach. Case Documentation & Data Management: Accurately maintain and update client records, including demographic information and service usage while ensuring confidentiality. Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with staff and external partners to deliver coordinated, client-focused services across programs. Community Engagement: Participate in community events and outreach initiatives to raise awareness around food insecurity.
