For more than five decades, WIN House has been a nonprofit organization committed to serving Edmonton and area. We exist to further non-violent relationships and environments for women and non-binary individuals with or without children. We provide safety, support, relief, and resources. WIN House is people focused, and forward-thinking, without exception.
We provide on-site resources to all who stay with us, including a 24/7 Helpline, crisis intervention, links to community resources, access to school and education, access to an on-site nurse, transportation, hot meals and a pet safekeeping program. Additionally, we have established partnerships with Goodwill for clothing, and with Santas Anonymous for toys for children.
We operate three shelters. Two emergency shelters provide immediate response and accommodations, while our third shelter, offers long-term support (up to three years) to individuals with precarious immigration status or survivors of human trafficking.
