Head of Equipment and Logistics

This part-time role is ideal for someone passionate about hockey, team culture, and sports operations. You’ll play a vital behind-the-scenes role ensuring our athletes are prepared and properly equipped for success both on and off the ice, in both practices and games, and while on the road. Key Responsibilities: • Maintain, organize, and transport hockey equipment for players and staff • Prepare locker room before and after practices/games (home and away) • Manage skate sharpening, stick preparation, and minor equipment repairs • Inventory and track team equipment and supplies • Launder uniforms and towels as needed • Assist with set-up and takedown of team gear for practices and games • Support coaching staff with logistics and bench support during games • Coordinate and pack team equipment for travel purposes - Travel with the team on weekends for away games • Uphold safety and cleanliness standards in equipment and locker areas • Foster a respectful and team-first environment Qualifications: • Interest in hockey and sports team operations • Ability to commit to evenings and weekends during the season • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented • Strong organizational and communication skills • Ability to lift and move heavy equipment • Previous experience in equipment management (preferred) • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel with the team • Skate sharpening and equipment repair experience (an asset)
Additional Details & Skills Required
Though it is hoped that the applicant has some experience in the maintenance of hockey equipment and skate sharpening, some training may be provided if necessary.
