Theatre Network is looking for Casino Volunteers!
Ongoing
Theatre Network hosts a fundraising Casino every 2 years or so. This draws on the work and enthusiasm of more than 30 volunteers. There are both daytime and night shifts available, and a well-defined set of tasks for each role. Although some of the roles have slightly intimidating titles like ‘Banker’ and ‘General Manager’, enthusiasm and a willingness to learn will help a volunteer master any of the jobs at a casino. Volunteers are guided by professional, paid staff, so there will be less focus on technical expertise and more reliability and accuracy. Thank you for your help! Below are the following roles we are recruiting for. General Manager Ideally, a general manager is someone with experience working in casino operations. A General Manager oversees all daily operations, including gaming, hospitality, and security, while ensuring profitability and strict compliance with gaming regulations. Banker Bankers are responsible for handling and securing a float of cash and chips in the cash cage. This includes documenting all cash cage transactions, ensuring the security of the chips and cash in the cash cage, and holding the cashiers accountable for the chips and cash they manage while on duty. Count Room Operator A Count Room operator is responsible for securely collecting, sorting, counting, and verifying large volumes of cash, chips, and ticket vouchers from slot machines and gaming tables. They ensure accurate revenue recording, follow strict regulatory compliance, and work in a secure, monitored environment to balance daily earnings. Chip Runner Chip Runners act as couriers, transporting chip trays and cash between the cashier’s cage and table games to ensure dealers have enough inventory and games run smoothly.
