Do you believe everyone has a right to a life free from violence?  And do you feel strongly that those impacted by family violence should be able to access seamless services?
A Board position at The Today Centre might be for you!
A charity serving those who are experiencing family violence, The Today Centre is dedicated to making family violence non-existent in our community and ensuring those who are impacted receive free and confidential assistance in a safe environment.

Opportunity

We are currently seeking individuals who have experience and expertise in finance and audit literacy, risk management, fundraising and organizational governance, including understanding of board roles, oversight, and strategic planning.

Responsibility

The Board of Directors are collectively accountable to the community, funders and other stakeholders of the organization.  Board Members are responsible for acting in the best long-term interest of the organization and its community through informed decision making, broad knowledge and an inclusive perspective.

Qualifications

The Today Centre Board of Directors reflects a broad range of skills and experience. Specific qualifications sought by the Board of Directors are as follows:
●	Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
●	Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities
●	Ability to dedicate time and energy to board responsibilities, including fundraising 
●	Ability to serve as ambassadors for The Today Centre, increasing awareness and support 
●	Ability to nurture a donor culture in the organization

Applications will be assessed for a match to the needs of the organization and may proceed to an interview. All Board Members must submit a Police Information Check prior to being appointed to the Board.
