Science Garage Workshop Assistant

4 hours per week for 3 months
The Science Garage invites guests of all ages to get their hands and minds busy with science as they create, compete, tinker, test, and build their way through a wide variety of activities and displays. This highly interactive gallery features several unique elements including a magnetic roller coaster wall, kinetic dance floor, vertical wind tunnels, freedom climber walls, and a refurbished ball machine.

This gallery also features a fully operational makerspace, stocked with a variety of random materials. Guests are tasked with putting their imaginations to the ultimate test by using materials available to complete a specific challenge or build something entirely new. Help them tackle their challenges!  

Share your creativity and passion for science with our guests. Teaching, public speaking skills, and previous training in STEAM related subjects are valued assets in this educational role. All applicants must be 15 years of age or older with grade 9 science. Volunteer staff are requested to commit to one, 3-5 hour shift per week over a period of three months, or the equivalent of 40 hours.

Shifts:
Daily Shift (Mon-Sun): 9:00am - 1:00 pm OR 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm
