Shepherd’s Care Foundation is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization providing quality care and accommodations to more than 900 seniors throughout Edmonton. 

Recreation Therapy Volunteers help enrich the residents’ lives by providing conversation and companionship and/or enabling the resident to participate in desired activities. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with residents and help create a meaningful difference. Volunteers will assist staff in the delivery of activities and programs as required and help porter (safely assist in transporting residents in wheelchairs)  to and from their programming. 

Currently in need of assistance for:
Bingo Volunteers: Wednesdays 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm
Entertainment Volunteers: Thursdays 1:00pm to 3:00pm
Outing Volunteers (assisting with recreation outings, portering) *hours vary
Visiting Companions: Variety of times/Flexible
Porters: Variety of times
