Ongoing
Shepherd’s Care Foundation is a faith-based, not-for-profit organization providing quality care and accommodations to more than 900 seniors throughout Edmonton.

Recreation Therapy Volunteers help enrich the resident’s lives by providing conversation and companionship and/or enabling the resident to participate in desired activities within Eden House. This is an excellent opportunity to interact with residents and help create a meaningful difference. Volunteers will assist staff in the delivery of activities and programs as required and help porter (safely assist transporting residents in wheelchairs) to and from their programming.
As part of our Recreational Therapy programming, bus outings are an exciting and fun activity for the residents at Shepherd's Care. Includes accompanying residents to offsite locations and the resident’s safe on-boarding /off-boarding of the transportation. Volunteer will provide companionship and, if desired by the resident, conversation. Our volunteers are essential in these activities, and so appreciated! These activities are planned for Thursday afternoons from 12:30pm - 4:30pm.
