ALBERTA AVENUE NIGHT MARKETS 2025- Volunteer Call-out

Led by YEG Ambassadors in partnership with REACH Edmonton and the Alberta Avenue BIA.

We’re gearing up for another exciting summer on Alberta Avenue, and we need your help to make it happen.

Local businesses, community partners, and vendors are coming together to host a series of Night Markets that celebrate the unique spirit of the Alberta Avenue neighborhood. Each market will be held in a different location, with its own vibe that reflects the featured business.

We’re looking for volunteers to help with setup, takedown, vendor support, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for guests. Whether you're passionate about local events, want to connect with the community, or just enjoy a good summer evening, we’d love to have you join us.

Expect a laid-back, family-friendly, and inclusive environment filled with locally-made goods, great food, and community spirit.

Volunteer Details:
Shift times will vary depending on your role and availability.

Setup starts at 4:00 pm

Market hours are from 6:00pm to 10:00 pm

Takedown begins immediately after the market ends

Volunteer Qualifications:
To volunteer for the Night Markets, you must:

Be 18 years of age or older

Be reliable and able to attend your chosen shifts

Have some experience with community initiatives or a strong interest in supporting local events

Note: Post-secondary students are encouraged to apply.

If you're interested in volunteering or have any questions, feel free to reach out, we’ll get you set up! As a thank-you, all volunteers will receive a gift from a local coffee shop at the end of the series.
