Science is a foundation on which we make decisions regarding food, medicine, education, energy, communications, entertainment, and so much more. The Public Science Institute (PSI), operated exclusively by volunteers, is a federal not-for-profit science communication and advocacy group consisting of scientists and communicators who share the goal of making science more accessible to the public. We recognize that people generally don’t have the resources, expertise, or time to stay informed with the latest scientific advances, and we see potential to help make answers to questions more available and digestible. We strive to make sure that if someone is curious and wants their questions answered, they have access to public talks and discussions with scientists who are happy to provide them with appropriate resources and provide explanations every step of the way.
