About the Organization
The Edmonton Neighbourhood Watch Program Society (ENW) is a community-based, not-for-profit organization dedicated to building safer communities through crime prevention, public awareness, education, and neighbourhood-level engagement. Our vision is Safer Communities by Working Together in Crime Prevention.

The Opportunity
ENW is seeking a Volunteer Fundraising and Grants Director to serve on its Board of Directors for a two-year term. This is a governance and strategic leadership role responsible for strengthening the organization’s fundraising capacity, grant readiness, and long-term financial sustainability.

This position is ideal for a professional with experience in fundraising, grants, sponsorships, or nonprofit revenue development who wants to contribute at a board and strategy level.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and advice to the Board on fundraising and revenue development
- Support the development and oversight of fundraising and grant strategies aligned with ENW’s strategic plan
- Guide grant readiness, funding priorities, and stewardship practices
- Support relationships with funders, donors, sponsors, and community partners
- Assist in identifying new funding opportunities across government, foundations, and private sectors
- Collaborate with other Board members on financial oversight and sustainability planning
- Participate actively in Board meetings, committees, and strategic planning sessions
- Ensure fundraising practices align with governance, ethical, and regulatory standards

Qualifications
- Experience in fundraising, grant development, sponsorships, or nonprofit finance
- Understanding of charitable or not-for-profit organizations
- Strong strategic thinking, communication, and relationship-building skills
- Experience with government or foundation grants is an asset
- Must reside in Edmonton
- Must pass a Special Enhanced Police Information Check

Commitment
- Volunteer, unpaid board position
- Two-year term with option to renew
- Monthly Board meetings and committee participation
- Hybrid or remote participation available
