BOARD OF DIRECTOR Fund Development - Grant Writer Officer Volunteer Position

5-7 hours / monthly
2 Year Term
The Fund Development Officer is accountable to the Board of Directors and works closely with the Management Team to support the organization’s financial sustainability. The role focuses on fundraising, grant development, donor relations, and community partnerships that advance ENW’s mission and long term goals.

•	Experience in fundraising, donor relations, sponsorship development, or grant writing
•	Understanding of charitable/not for profit operations and funding environments
•	Strong written communication skills, including proposal and grant writing
•	Ability to build relationships with donors, partners, and community stakeholders
•	Familiarity with fundraising strategies, donor stewardship, and campaign planning
•	Strong organizational, analytical, and project management skills
Additional Details & Skills Required
Donor Relations & Stewardship — Skill in building authentic relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners, including communication, appreciation, and long‑term engagement.
Communication & Networking — Strong public‑facing communication skills and the ability to connect with bus
Certification or Education Required
Grant Writing Training — Strengthens ability to support proposal development and funding diversification.
Fundraising & Development Certification — Training in donor engagement, sponsorship development, campaign planning, and ethical fundraising standards (e.g., AFP Fundamentals of Fundraising, CFRE‑aligned courses).
