The Living Positive through Positive Living Society was incorporated in 1990 to meet the need for Peer Support to gay and MSM's (Men who have Sex with Men) living with or affected by HIV. Since then Living Positive has seen many changes, but the need for available Peer Support has not changed. We view HIV strictly as a health issue and not a moral issue - plain and simple! Therefor the environments in which we operate are non-judgmental, supported by our slogan, "We don't care who...we don't care how...we just care!"

We provide to people living with or affected by HIV /AIDS nurturing and supportive environments in which to develop understanding, positive attitudes and self-images, regardless of orientation and gender identification.

Our programming is evidence based, and assists our members to navigate the hurdles, questions, dilemmas and day-to-day issues that are the realities of living with or affected by HIV. Our programs are designed to educate and inform, with a focus on people who identify as gay/MSM along with their family and friends, are stable in their lives and are looking for like minded peers for constructive conversation, sharing experiences, social interactions and learning about staying healthy while enjoying a full and gratifying life living with or affected by HIV.

Peer support has shown to enhance multiple levels of physical, emotional, social and mental health. It is through these levels that we seek to acknowledge the entire person while nurturing 'living positive through positive living'.

Living Positive is about supporting peers and anyone affected by HIV. Although the gay/MSM community is our foundation, we welcome and support all people living with or affected by HIV
